Uno
Uno is a salad bowl and server set for Joseph Joseph, designed to stop the bowl and the servers living in separate cupboards. The servers hook onto the bowl itself, so the whole set stores, and finds you, as one.
What we were asked.
Salad serving needs a bowl and utensils, but they usually live apart. The brief was to bring them together, so nobody's hunting through two cupboards to plate one dish.
What we answered.
The servers didn't need their own home if the bowl could give them one. Hook the servers onto the bowl's own edge and storage stops being a separate problem to solve.
A large serving bowl with two stainless-steel servers that hook neatly over its rim. One set, one place, ready to serve salads, rice, pasta or dessert straight from the cupboard.
Refined the hook detail on each server until it sat securely on the bowl's edge without shifting or catching, so the set holds together in the cupboard and lifts out as one.
Keeps the bowl and its servers together, so there's no second cupboard to check. Saves the time lost hunting for utensils and gives the set a single, tidy home.
