Mode is an internal studio project: an over-ear headphone system guided by Nordic design principles, built to feel at home rather than on display. Pared back, timeless, and quietly capable.

What we were asked.

The question we set ourselves: why do over-ear headphones still feel like tools rather than something you'd want in your home?

What we answered.

Overear headphones don't have to announce themselves. Quieter in presence, warmer in spirit, Mode is a considered response, built around honesty and restraint rather than spec-sheet ambition.

Mode over-ear headphones and matching stand, designed to sit in a room rather than on display

An overear headphone system with a matching stand, designed to sit as comfortably in a room as it does on your head. The form is pared back and enduring, built to blend into an interior rather than compete with it.

Every decision was filtered through Nordic design principles: strip back what isn't essential, keep what earns its place. The stand does double duty by design, not as an add-on feature.

Mode stand doubling as a magnetic wireless charging pad for the headphones

Sits in your space without demanding attention. The stand doubles as a magnetic wireless charging pad, so the headphones charge exactly where they live.
